Artefact Preservation

DeepStore’s underground storage facilities comply with BS5454:2000 standards. These standards were specifically designed to help professionals such as museum curators, archivists, librarians and architects manage the long-term, permanent storage of archival material. The standards recommend handling storage procedures to ensure the preservation of important artefacts.

Our archival storage facility in Winsford offers naturally constant temperature and humidity levels. In addition we further complement this by following best practice and when storing items in boxes, stack them one high on metal shelves.
